Kelechi Iheanacho knows he needs to improve if he is to keep with the pack at  Manchester City. Considering he only turned 20 in October, Iheanacho is happy with the progress he has made at the club in forcing his way into the first team and staying in contention but is aware that the bar is only getting higher. Kelechi Iheanacho “I think I have really done well but everyone needs to improve. I need to keep working and keep improving. I have so many things to improve on. “I need to keep learning. “As a striker you need to take chances but when we miss chances we focus on the next one, and forget about the one we missed. “We need to focus as well to put the chance (away) if it comes.”

Acting President Osinbajo is not a ‘Nigerian’

 After watching the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo in Benin City, Edo State, on TV live during his fact finding meeting with the good people of Edo state, I realised that he is totally not a Nigerian. He listened to all speakers with rapt attention and concentrated interest. One could see him practically and personally experiencing the pains of the abandoned and raped people of the Niger Delta. Even when there was a mini riot in the hall he remained calmed and probably prayerful as an ordained man of God. If the mild drama of mini riot that played out in the hall had happened in a situation where even a local government chairman was in charge, the chairman would have ordered the security men to shoot at sight. If the person in charge was a state governor or a President, he would have ordered a massive arrest and inglorious shot at perception and at sight, but the learned and erudite scholar and legal luminary of international acclaim did not do any of that. Rather when he responded he said he equally shared the grievance of the aggrieved Niger Delta people. This is un-Nigerian. For a leader to share in the pains of the people and not to deal with them for daring to engage in mini riot in his presence shows that the goddess of pride, the delusion grandeur and megalomania tendency usually associated with the average Nigerian leader at virtually all levels are not in the Acting President. For him to order all the oil companies to move their headquarters to the Niger Delta is a wonderful act of justice and healing of the age long injury inflicted on the Niger Delta people. That he visited the Niger Delta states differently and interacted directly with the people and even visited the creeks to personally access the horrible situation is worth more than commendation. No Nigerian leader at his level has acted like this. This is the reason I doubt if Acting President Yemi Osibanjo, SAN, is a Nigerian. Probably he is a Moses in the making to the Niger Delta people.

Buhari back to UK for more treatment in few weeks

President Muhammadu Buhari has hinted that he may be going back to UK for more treatment in few weeks to come. “I am feeling much better now. There may, however, be need for further follow up within some weeks,’’ he stated. President Muhammadu Buhari landed at the Aso Presidential Villa, Abuja helipad after some 51 days vacation in London United Kingdom.
President Buhari announced this at his first meeting with his Cabinet and Service Chiefs at the First Lady’s Conference Room at the Presidential Villa Abuja. According to the president who proceeded to his residence after the meeting, he needed more rest. He expressed his gratitude to Nigerians who called and also prayed for him while his medical vacation lasted in London, United Kingdom. He said that Osinbajo who has been acting in his place in the last 51 days he has been away would continue to act. He the President said he felt much better, saying that “whatever the case I’m still grateful to Nigerians”. According to him, the cost of his treatment abroad was not lost on him even as he said he received the best of treatment.

Power failure: Fashola gets 30-day ultimatum to revive power sector or resign

Perturbed by the lingering epileptic power supply in the country, particularly in the South East zone, the Campaign for Democracy, CD has given the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola (SAN) up till 30 days from now to revive the ailing power sector or resign his appointment as a minister of the federal republic. National Publicity Secretary of CD, Dede Uzor A. Uzor who gave the ultimatum in a press statement issued in Onitsha, Anambra state, yesterday, said Fashola has failed woefully to increase the megawatt from 4,320 where he met it since two years ago to till date.

 Minister of Power, Fashola CD noted that rather, Fashola allowed the megawatt to decrease to less than 1,000 at the moment, a situation which he said forced Nigerians to witness zero megawatt on January 30, this year with a total nationwide power blackout. CD suggested that the federal government should detach Works and Housing ministries from the Power ministry and handed them over to another minister to oversee, to enable Fashola concentrate only on power which is presently the most important need of every average Nigerian. CD also asked Fashola to make available pre-paid meters to all Nigerians, particularly in the South East region within that 30-day ultimatum period to assist in checkmating estimated and crazy bills on poverty-stricken Nigerians, so as to controvert United Nations, UN’s recent prediction that Yemen, Sudan, Nigeria, Syria and other countries would face acute food shortage in the near future

Game of Thrones Season 7 Premiere Date Is Finally Revealed

Game of Thrones is set to return for its highly anticipated seventh season on Sunday, July 16, 2017, HBO finally announced on Facebook on Thursday. 

The network made the announcement on Facebook Live with a block of ice encasing the premiere date. Viewers were asked to type "fire" to help the ice melt faster as music from the hit fantasy drama played in the background. At one point the live broadcast had more than 160,000 viewers.

Isaac Hempstead Wright, Bran Stark on the series, popped into the broadcast twice (the same message) to encourage viewers to comment "fire" to make the block melt faster. See an image of the ice block above. The live stream ended abruptly after approximately 15 minutes and the ice had still not melted, riling fans. "We will be back and ready for more fire soon. #GoTS7," the show's official Twitter account shared.

When the rebroadcast started, Hempstead Wright appeared again and HBO aired a messaged from Lena Headey as well. "I know we associate fire with dragons, but we all know by now that Cersei has a bit of fire power in her too," she said, instructing viewers to comment "fire" as well.Gwendoline Christie also appeared in a taped message, teasing spoilers and encouraging comments.

The broadcast ended a second time and when it returned Nikolaj Coster-Waldauencouraged some more comments.Theentire thing lasted more than an hour. After the date was revealed, Liam Cunninghamappeared and said, "I can personally assure you it will be worth the wait."

One thing we know for sure about the eight-episode seventh season? It's going to blow our minds because even the cast couldn't deal with the craziness going down in Westeros when they read the scripts. 

After she read the scripts for the upcoming season she took to Twitter. "Just finished reading season 7," Maisie Williams tweeted. "S—t gets REAL…I'd start preparing yourselves now…Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this."

Moses faces Conte’s axe

With a nine point lead at the top of the Premier League, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will be able to do that this summer. It’s not always just about selling players and getting rid of deadwood, you have to add to your squad and provide competition for places. Football Whispers  have picked out five Chelsea  players that are fighting for their future at Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window. Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses,  is one of the men who Conte could offload at the end of the season: The former Wigan Athletic and Liverpool winger has been superbly transformed under Conte this season. Going from an outsider to a potential Player of the Year is a wonderful achievement for Moses. Yet, despite his three goals and two assists in 18 starts, his place will still be under-threat this summer.
